Position: Restaurant Lead - Counter-Attendant non-exempt
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor, Manager, Director of Food and Beverage

Job Summary:
- This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Assist guests in choosing foods and bakery products. Share knowledge about the ingredients and preparation of products at the counter. Take customer orders, upsell products, operate a cash register/POS system, handle cash, credit card, and gift card transactions.
- Leads and evaluates the Counter Attendant position.
- Count down registers and separates the cash drop from the bank, reestablishes new banks for counter attendant drawers, facilitates breaks, takes inventory and prepares purchase orders based upon inventory pars, does voids and discounts and labor allocations.
- Attends management meetings as scheduled, inputs management logbook entry reduces or increases labor based upon sales trends or forecasts, administers pre-shift to the team members.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- • Responsible for providing outstanding customer service that meets or exceeds guest expectations
- • Assist guests in choosing foods and bakery products
- • Share knowledge about ingredients and preparation of products at the counter
- • Take customer orders and up-sell product
- • Operates a cash register/POS system, handles cash, credit card, and gift card transactions.
- • Filling supplies by getting supplies from the storage area
- • Making coffee, lifting full coffee urns, lifting and moving large trays of bakery products
- • Stock counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately as directed, and in a timely manner
- • Package products for sale by removing products from trays, putting products in bag or box, and placing products on display area.
- • Check to ensure that all display foods are merchandised attractively as per quality standards
- • Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- • Support a positive attitude toward The Company
- • Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook and Café Operations Handbook
- • Perform all daily Café duties included within job description and as directed by Café Management
- • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met and adheres to food handing guidelines and sanitation procedures.
Skills and Physical Requirements:
- • Physical ability to stand for long periods of times, up to 8 hours per day
- • Physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, carrying, bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting coffee urns, trays of baked goods and supplies, individually lifting and move up to 50 lbs or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations. Speak, write and clearly understand English

- • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met.
Education / Experience:
- • Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage experience
- • Minimum of 1 year of quick-service restaurant experience
