Our Client is on a mission to redefine the neighborhood bagel shop bringing together old-school craftsmanship and modern hospitality. With 4 locations currently operating and 6 more under construction, we're entering a pivotal phase of growth and are seeking a Vice President of Operations to help lead the charge.

This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned operator with a passion for hospitality, a knack for team building, and a drive to scale. Were looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has experience leading multi-unit food service operations, and is eager to build something special from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in quality, service, and team culture
  • Build and optimize systems to support scalabilitycovering scheduling, inventory, staffing, equipment maintenance, and more
  • Lead hiring, training, and development of both Front and Back of House teams
  • Handle vendor relations and negotiations, driving cost efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Support store-level leaders as a coach, mentor, and problem-solverbalancing compassion with accountability
  • Ensure operational readiness for new store openings, working closely with ownership and construction teams
  • Own the P&L with a focus on optimizing labor, COGS, and operational overhead
  • Develop SOPs and best practices to create consistency across all locations
  • Foster a strong, positive culture rooted in servant leadership, hospitality, and team development

Who You Are:

  • A hospitality-driven operator with at least 5+ years of experience in multi-unit food operations
  • Experience in bakeries, bagel shops, or similar foodservice concepts is a big plus
  • Comfortable dealing with personnel matters, coaching store leaders, and resolving team dynamics
  • Hands-on knowledge of equipment used in bakeries (proofers, ovens, mixers, etc.)
  • Process-oriented and detail-driven with strong organizational skills
  • A strong people person with the ability to balance empathy and accountability
  • Experienced in scheduling, training, and system implementation
  • Comfortable negotiating with vendors and building out supply chain systems
  • Bonus points for coffee program experience and a background in NYC-based foodservice operations
