A full-service restaurant located within a boutique hotel in Wading River is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. This is a hands-on role for a chef who thrives in a creative kitchen environment and enjoys contributing to seasonal menus, wine dinners, themed events, and weekly specials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Assist in menu development and execution of weekly and specialty events (e.g., wine dinners, holiday menus)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Supervise and mentor line cooks and kitchen staff
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a high-volume or upscale kitchen environment
  • Culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Creative approach to menu planning and plating
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Wading River, NY prior to starting
