We are seeking a strong, people-driven General Manager to lead the overall performance, culture, and daily operations of a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the restaurant. This role ensures operational excellence across guest experience, financial results, team leadership, management development, compliance, and brand execution.
As the primary operational leader of the restaurant, the General Manager is ultimately accountable for performance across all departments while modeling the leadership behaviors, reliability, professionalism, and urgency expected from the entire team.
What Youll Be Responsible For
Restaurant Operations & Guest Experience
- Direct and oversee daily restaurant operations across all service periods and business volumes
- Maintain a strong floor presence and lead guest experience, hospitality, and service recovery efforts
- Ensure service standards, flow of operations, and execution consistency remain strong at all times
- Verify completion of all opening, closing, and shift checklists daily
- Partner with both front- and back-of-house leaders to maintain a seamless and guest-focused operation
Financial Performance & Cost Management
- Maintain accountability for labor, prime cost, controllable expenses, and overall profitability
- Build schedules aligned with sales forecasts, budgets, and operational needs
- Review financial and operational reports and implement corrective action when needed
- Drive sales performance while protecting margins and operational efficiency
- Lead managers on cost-awareness and operational discipline throughout the business
Team Leadership, Coaching & Development
- Oversee the growth, readiness, and performance of all managers and key team members
- Coach managers through real-time feedback, structured follow-up, and ongoing development
- Create and manage individual development plans for salaried managers
- Ensure strong onboarding, training, and development processes for both managers and hourly team members
- Identify high-potential employees and actively build an internal bench for future growth
- Hold managers accountable for leading, coaching, and developing their own teams
Leadership Standards & Professional Conduct
- Set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and respectful workplace behavior
- Maintain strong working relationships and appropriate leadership boundaries
- Uphold all policies related to workplace conduct, legal compliance, alcohol, and substance use
- Model maturity, consistency, and leadership presence in all situations
Shift Leadership & Hands-On Support
- Lead shifts with preparation, urgency, and strong operational awareness
- Ensure pre-shift readiness, staffing alignment, and smooth execution throughout the day
- Anticipate challenges and address issues proactively before they impact service
- Step in to support front- or back-of-house operations when needed
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods, staffing gaps, or high-pressure service times
Administrative & Compliance Accountability
- Maintain permits, postings, compliance documents, and operational records as required
- Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, reconciliations, and schedule posting
- Oversee regulatory recordkeeping and maintain organized operational systems
- Partner with HR when needed on investigations, documentation, and corrective action
Safety, Cleanliness & Facility Oversight
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, workplace safety standards, and alcohol service regulations
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and brand presentation standards at all times
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and vendor services to keep the facility guest-ready and operational
- Ensure the restaurant remains inspection-ready and compliant at all times
What Were Looking For
- Proven leadership experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant operator in a high-volume, full-service environment
- Strong background in restaurant financials, labor management, and cost controls
- Demonstrated success developing managers and building strong teams
- Excellent floor leadership, guest recovery, and problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Ability to lead with accountability while maintaining a positive and professional culture
- Reliable, consistent, and flexible with scheduling needs
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on business needs
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Average management schedule of approximately 50–55 hours per week
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and adjusted schedules as needed
- Willingness to support training, promotions, staffing shortages, and vacation coverage
- Ability to work extended shifts in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varied temperature conditions and a fast-paced restaurant setting
