Quality Assurance Officer Civil Subdivisions

Location: Toowoomba, QLD

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Officer to support the delivery of civil subdivision projects across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will assist project teams to ensure all civil works meet council standards, engineering designs, and client expectations. You'll be responsible for conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and helping to embed quality processes across multiple residential and commercial subdivision projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining Quality Management Plans (QMPs)
• Conduct site quality inspections and audits during construction
• Support the preparation and review of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• Monitor subcontractor performance and raise any non-conformances
• Liaise with Site Supervisors, Project Managers, and local authorities
• Keep accurate quality records for project handovers and council approvals
• Help identify improvement opportunities and promote a quality-first culture onsite

About You:

• Experience in civil construction, ideally within subdivisions or infrastructure projects
• Good understanding of Toowoomba Regional Council, DTMR, and relevant standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and ITPs
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving quality issues
• Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction, Quality Auditing, or a related qualification (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced site environment
• Current drivers license (essential)
