Responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of a predictive maintenance program, supporting manufacturing plants across regions in the United States. Please note that this position is based in the KY plant.

Job Functions/Accountabilities: 

  • Develop and administer a comprehensive predictive maintenance program, encompassing vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasonic, and oil analysis. 
  • Oversee the existing Mechanical Integrity program, ensuring 100% compliance by collaborating with maintenance leaders at various sites. 
  • Manage the corporate risk insurance program and coordinate audits across all locations. 
  • Collaborate with site maintenance leaders to assess Mechanical Integrity reports, fitness for duty, and repair plans as needed. 
  • Maintain a long-term replacement plan, ensuring major equipment is budgeted within the Mechanical Integrity program. 
  • Review and monitor conditions of rotating equipment, utilizing data from vibration analysis, lube oil results, IR, and ultrasound data. Utilize critical operating process data for equipment health evaluation. 
  • Manage ZCLP PdM and MI databases. 
  • Conduct analysis of equipment histories, maintenance costs, and system failures to develop a refined asset management strategy. 
  • Provide relevant vibration, oil analysis, and other PdM data history to support root cause analysis efforts. 
  • Lead the Corporate Reliability Team. 
  • Oversee the 3rd party MI inspection services contractor at a corporate level. 
  • Recommend and procure predictive equipment with emerging technologies, standardizing usage across all sites. 
  • Contribute to equipment design, emphasizing reliability and maintainability. 
  • Report PdM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for asset management, including cost avoidance, cost savings, PdM monitoring compliance, and corrective actions in the Reliance database. 
  • Act as a resource in identifying and addressing potential equipment problems. 
  • Develop corporate procedures for rotating equipment reliability. 
  • Recommend and monitor continuous remote monitoring systems and applications. 
  • Lead equipment root cause failure analysis and pro-active Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). 
  • Recommend and implement preventative maintenance optimization. 
  • Identify and recommend testing and monitoring equipment for capital projects.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required. 

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience, including expertise in:

  • Predictive maintenance of rotating equipment with data analysis and database management in a chemical/petrochemical facility.
  • Evaluating tank, piping, and heat exchanger conditions in accordance with ASME, API, or STI standards.

Special Qualifications: 

  • Prefer certifications or a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Vibration Analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasound analysis. 
  • Proficiency in SAP CMMS preferred. 
  • PSM experience preferred.

10-20% domestic travel may be required.
