General Ledger Accountant

That's why were partnering with a global technology leader in electromechanical and automation systems to find a General Ledger Accountant for their high-performing Shared Service Center in Sofia.

About the Role:

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be a key contributor to accurate financial reporting and compliant accounting operations. You'll work within a structured SSC environment, supporting core Record-to-Report activities, process excellence, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities in line with group timelines
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of cash receipts and related postings
• Execute daily control checks to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations

Who Were Looking For:

• Deep knowledge of accounting principles with at least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting SSC/BPO structures in General Ledger accounting
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Strong competence in ERP systems
• Knowledge-sharing mindset with a people-oriented approach
• Experience in process and procedure transitions is considered a strong advantage
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
