Job Title: Interior and Architectural Designer

Job Summary:

The Interior and Architectural Designer is responsible for designing and creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for buildings, including hotels, restaurants, and commercial spaces. They work closely with clients, contractors, and other designers to ensure that all interior design work is completed to the required quality standards, and that it meets the needs and expectations of the client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present design concepts and proposals to clients, ensuring that they meet the client's needs and expectations.
  • Create detailed design drawings and specifications, including floor plans, elevations, and construction details.
  • Work closely with other designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all design work is completed to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee the procurement process for interior design materials and furnishings, ensuring that they meet the required standards and that they are delivered on time.
  • Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring that all costs are properly documented and accounted for.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that all design work is installed properly and that it meets the required quality standards.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are kept up-to-date on project progress, through regular reports and meetings.
  • Provide technical support to other designers and contractors, ensuring that they have the necessary information and support to complete their work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on designing commercial spaces.
  • Strong knowledge of interior design principles and practices, including space planning, lighting, and materials selection.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software.
  • Excellent creativity, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
