Job Purpose
The Head of Sales & Marketing oversees the growth of the divisions direct to customer sales and revenue stream. The role requires expertise in sales SOPs, sales team leadership, traveller facing business development, and promotions. Also oversee the growth of the divisions travel trade partnerships and revenue stream. The role requires expertise in sales SOPs, sales team leadership, travel trade business development, and lead generation and closure. The role will predominantly support the growth of our DMC, Experience Brands, Hotels & Resorts, and Hostel brands etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a strong sales team, proving strong revenue generation and customer service in all of our destinations
- Build and lead a strong sales team, targeting our key markets (APAC, EMEA, NA Etc.)
- Ability to reach and exceed sales targets (as a team and individually)
- Lead by example, driving your own sales, and training your team to duplicate your success
- Support marketing and branding efforts across our division
- CRM Management and target setting
- Publishing regular marketing collateral and social media
- Publishing regular trade facing marketing collateral, newsletters and social media
- Implement marketing campaigns
- Help to manager DMC branding and PR
- Support the Operations Team whenever needed
- Support wider company sales efforts whenever needed
- Attend trade conferences and expos when required
- Manage third party assets, such as exterior marketing and PR service providers
Core Requirements
- >5 years professional sales experience. Experience within travel/hospitality an advantage
- Leadership experience
- Project management experience
- CRM experience
- Excellent training, mentoring and monitoring skills
- Fluent in English. Additional languages an advantage
- Be a flexible team player with a start-up/fast growth mentality
- Able to travel regularly
