About the job Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager.
Reporting Line: Group Director of International Projects
Job Purpose:
The project manager has to plan and develop project concepts, sets deadlines, solves issues that arise, manages budgets, and evaluates project performance ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections of existing properties which are being considered for acquisition and complete detailed technical due diligence reports including capital expenditure costs/ forecasts.
- Completing project pre-planning processes, such as cost estimations and budgeting for all projects in Sri Lanka.
- Assist Quantity Surveyor with preparing of detailed bill of quantities
- Prepare tender documents for contractors and suppliers
- Negotiating contracts with contractors, and suppliers
- Obtaining permits as required
- Manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and assist quantity surveyor with tracking of inventory
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Complete daily and weekly progress reports
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained
- Any responsibility assigned by the management time to time.

- Proven experience in a similar role for over 3 years.
