Job Title: Vice President of Purchasing (Hotel)

Job Summary: The Vice President of Purchasing will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing and procurement activities for the hotel. This role will involve managing a team of purchasing professionals, developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures for the hotel
  • Manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing coaching and mentoring as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality goods and services
  • Monitor purchasing trends and negotiate contracts to ensure cost savings and quality standards are met
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
  • Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities to senior management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a purchasing team and implementing purchasing policies and procedures
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in purchasing and procurement software and Microsoft Office
