Job Title: Guest Experience Manager - Hostel (Expat based in Thailand Only)

Location: Bangkok

Reports to: Hostel Manager

Summary:

The Guest Experience Manager for the hostel will be responsible for providing a warm welcome and exceptional guest service to ensure a positive and memorable guest experience. The successful candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm welcome to guests and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all guest areas, including common spaces, restrooms, and guest rooms, are clean and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate and schedule housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure the property is well-maintained.
  • Manage and maintain guest records, including reservations, room assignments, and payments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with the hostel manager to develop and implement guest service strategies and policies.
  • Train and supervise front desk staff on guest service policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Communicate regularly with guests to ensure their needs are met and to solicit feedback on their experience.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance the guest experience, such as welcome packages, guest activities, and social events.
  • Manage guest service budgets and ensure expenses are within budgetary guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 1 -3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of property management systems and reservation software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Familiarity with local attractions, events, and transportation options.
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
