Job Title: Purchasing Director - Hotel

Job Summary: The Purchasing Director for the hotel will be responsible for managing the purchasing process of goods and services for the hotel. The individual in this role will work closely with various departments and vendors to ensure that goods and services are procured in a cost-effective and timely manner, while also maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies for the hotel
  • Manage the procurement process for all goods and services, including negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the hotel receives the best possible prices and quality of goods and services
  • Work closely with department heads to determine their purchasing needs and requirements
  • Review and analyze purchasing data to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Manage the purchasing budget and provide regular reports to senior management on purchasing activities and cost savings
  • Ensure that all purchases are made in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all purchased items are delivered on time and in accordance with the hotel's quality standards
  • Manage the hotel's inventory and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date
  • Work with the accounting department to ensure that all invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a purchasing department
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
