JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for day-to-day execution and supervision of warehouse floor operations at the Fortune Warehouse. This role ensures that warehouse activities are performed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with SOPs, GMP standards, and ERP system requirements.
The Warehouse Team Leader is a hands-on operational leader, directly managing warehouse staff on shift, enforcing discipline, monitoring productivity, and ensuring that all warehouse transactions are properly executed and recorded in the system. This role does not handle planning, logistics, or system design—but is critical to making sure plans and systems work on the ground.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Warehouse Operations Execution
- Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and internal staging.
- Assign tasks to warehouse staff based on daily priorities and instructions from the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure all activities follow approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Monitor workflow and resolve minor operational issues in real time.
People Supervision & Discipline
- Supervise warehouse staff during assigned shifts.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and task completion.
- Enforce workplace discipline, safety rules, and housekeeping standards.
- Coach staff on correct procedures and escalate recurring issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Serve as the first line of leadership on the warehouse floor.
Inventory Handling & Accuracy
- Ensure accurate physical handling of inventory during receiving, picking, and storage.
- Verify quantities, SKUs, batch numbers, and locations during transactions.
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO rules are followed at all times.
- Support cycle counts, spot checks, and physical inventory activities.
- Immediately report discrepancies, damages, or variances.
ERP / System Compliance (User-Level Ownership)
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are properly recorded in the ERP/WMS (receipts, transfers, picks).
- Validate that staff follow correct system steps and do not bypass controls.
- Report system issues, data errors, or process gaps to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist during ERP testing, training, and stabilization phases as required.
SOP, GMP & Safety Compliance
- Enforce GMP standards related to storage, cleanliness, segregation, and material handling.
- Ensure proper labeling, identification, and traceability of all inventory.
- Enforce safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain orderly, clean, and audit-ready warehouse conditions.
- Report safety incidents, near misses, or compliance risks immediately.
Coordination & Escalation
- Coordinate closely with the Warehouse Manager on daily priorities and issues.
- Coordinate with Fulfillment or Production teams only for execution alignment, not planning.
- Escalate manpower shortages, space constraints, system issues, or compliance risks promptly.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- At least a high school graduate or vocational course completer.
- Bachelor’s degree is an advantage but not required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role.
- Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience using ERP or warehouse systems is required.
- Experience supervising small teams is preferred.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and SOP execution.
- Basic to intermediate ERP / WMS usage.
- FIFO / FEFO discipline and inventory handling accuracy.
- Familiarity with GMP and safety requirements.
Soft Skills:
- Hands-on leadership and strong floor presence.
- Clear communicator who can give firm instructions.
- High attention to detail.
- Reliable, disciplined, and consistent.
- Willing to escalate issues early rather than “fix quietly.”
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Full-time, on-site warehouse role at Fortune Warehouse, Marikina.
- Physically active environment involving standing, walking, and lifting.
- May work shifts, overtime, or weekends during peak periods.
