JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Specialist – OJT will assist the Inventory team in monitoring stock levels, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting inventory control activities. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in inventory tracking, system recording using the Vault Inventory Application, and coordination with warehouse and logistics teams, under close supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Controlling and Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), and finished goods (FG) inventory levels.
- Support regular inventory checks, reconciliations, and stock validations.
- Help identify inventory discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or mismatches efficiency.
Recording and Documentation
- Assist in encoding inventory transactions in the Vault Inventory Application, under supervision.
- Support the review and maintenance of inventory records for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in organizing and filing inventory-related documents such as:
- Inventory reports
- Receiving records
- Transfer and adjustment documents
Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding:
- Stock availability
- Location updates
- Put-away and storage activities
- Assist in verifying item codes, descriptions, and quantities during inventory movements.
Reporting & Compliance
- Help prepare basic inventory reports such as:
- Stock balances
- Aging reports
- Slow-moving or near-expiry items
- Support data gathering for audits and internal reviews
- Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
- Communicate inventory concerns and improvement recommendations to management.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a course related to:
- Inventory Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Industrial Engineering
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to learn inventory systems and warehouse operations.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
TRAINING DEVELOPMENT
- Hands-on training in the Vault Inventory Application.
- Exposure to inventory management best practices.
- Guidance from Inventory Specialists and Supervisors.
- Opportunity to understand end-to-end inventory workflows.
