JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist – OJT will assist the Inventory team in monitoring stock levels, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting inventory control activities. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in inventory tracking, system recording using the Vault Inventory Application, and coordination with warehouse and logistics teams, under close supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Controlling and Monitoring

  • Assist in monitoring raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), and finished goods (FG) inventory levels.
  • Support regular inventory checks, reconciliations, and stock validations.
  • Help identify inventory discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or mismatches efficiency.

Recording and Documentation

  • Assist in encoding inventory transactions in the Vault Inventory Application, under supervision.
  • Support the review and maintenance of inventory records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in organizing and filing inventory-related documents such as:
  • Inventory reports
  • Receiving records
  • Transfer and adjustment documents

Warehouse Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding:
  • Stock availability
  • Location updates
  • Put-away and storage activities
  • Assist in verifying item codes, descriptions, and quantities during inventory movements.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Help prepare basic inventory reports such as:
  • Stock balances
  • Aging reports
  • Slow-moving or near-expiry items
  • Support data gathering for audits and internal reviews
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Communicate inventory concerns and improvement recommendations to management.


QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a course related to:
  • Inventory Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Business Administration
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to learn inventory systems and warehouse operations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

TRAINING DEVELOPMENT

  • Hands-on training in the Vault Inventory Application.
  • Exposure to inventory management best practices.
  • Guidance from Inventory Specialists and Supervisors.
  • Opportunity to understand end-to-end inventory workflows.
