Job Summary
The IT Systems & Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT systems, network infrastructure, endpoints, cloud services, identity and access management, and infrastructure security to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations.
The role directly supervises the systems, network, security, and technical support team, providing day-to-day direction, task prioritization, technical guidance, coaching, and performance support.
The position leads infrastructure administration, network operations, endpoint and cloud management, monitoring, backup and recovery, incident resolution, infrastructure projects, and security implementation while ensuring compliance with IT standards, information security requirements, and business continuity objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Systems, Infrastructure & Network Management
- Oversee the administration, availability, performance, maintenance, and security of servers, endpoints, operating systems, cloud services, networks, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and other core IT infrastructure.
- Manage configurations, updates, patches, upgrades, capacity, redundancy, and technology lifecycle requirements.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex systems, network, and connectivity issues.
Cloud, Identity & Endpoint Management
- Oversee Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune, or equivalent cloud and endpoint-management platforms.
- Manage identity and access controls, user provisioning, authentication, permissions, privileged access, and account lifecycle processes.
- Ensure endpoints are properly configured, patched, secured, monitored, and supported.
Information Security, Monitoring & Business Continuity
- Oversee infrastructure and endpoint security controls, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, access controls, and security monitoring.
- Lead or support investigation and remediation of infrastructure-related security incidents.
- Monitor system health, availability, performance, and security events.
- Ensure backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures are established, maintained, and periodically tested.
Incident, Problem & Service Management
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure, systems, network, and endpoint incidents.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor service quality, SLA performance, recurring issues, and operational risks.
- Escalate major outages, security concerns, and service disruptions to the IT Supervisor.
Team Supervision & Technical Leadership
- Directly supervise the System & Network Administrator, IT Security Analyst, and IT Technical Support Specialist(s).
- Assign and prioritize incidents, service requests, projects, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Monitor workload, capability, service quality, and timely completion of team deliverables.
Infrastructure Projects, Assets & Vendor Management
- Lead or support infrastructure projects including network improvements, cloud migrations, system implementations, hardware deployments, office setups, and security enhancements.
- Ensure infrastructure changes are properly planned, tested, approved, documented, deployed, and reviewed.
- Support lifecycle management of IT hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, and infrastructure capacity.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external support partners and assist in technical evaluations.
Documentation, Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate system, network, architecture, configuration, access-control, recovery, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure, security, configuration, and documentation standards.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive infrastructure and support activities.
- Research and recommend technologies that improve reliability, security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems administration, network administration, IT infrastructure, technical support, or a related field.
- Preferably with at least 1–2 years of experience leading, supervising, or providing technical direction to an IT team.
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise systems, networks, endpoints, cloud services, and identity platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting complex system, network, endpoint, and infrastructure issues.
- Experience supporting infrastructure projects, implementations, upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Experience with IT security controls, backup and recovery, monitoring, and business continuity practices.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of systems administration, network administration, endpoint management, and IT infrastructure operations.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience administering Windows-based environments, enterprise endpoints, and business-critical systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, authentication, permissions, role-based access control, and privileged access.
- Knowledge of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage, backup, and recovery technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management.
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, system hardening, and secure configuration practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident-resolution capability.
- Familiarity with IT service management practices including incident, problem, request, asset, and change management.
- Working knowledge of scripting and automation technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or equivalent tools is an advantage.

- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Cisco, CompTIA, Fortinet, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and enterprise endpoint management.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and cloud identity management.
- Experience managing enterprise firewalls, managed switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and multi-site connectivity.
- Experience with infrastructure and security monitoring tools.
- Experience with virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Experience developing automation using PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting technologies.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
- Experience supporting multi-site IT operations is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment, including computers and peripherals, as required.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office and remote support environments. Occasional travel between Dermorepubliq office locations may be required to ensure consistent support across sites.
