Job Specification Manager, Master Data
The Master Data Manager will own the strategy, process, procedures, and execution of the enterprise-wide master data strategy. This role is essential to ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility for all business units, thereby driving fact-based decision-making in a decentralized wholesale distribution business at the local market level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working manager creating and maintaining master data records in multiple ERPs. Enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of master data.
Lead initiatives to integrate master data across various systems, including ERP, HRIS, Payroll, and other enterprise applications.
Design and implement master data solutions in collaboration with product owners, reporting/data analysts, and business partners.
Define and translate business rules into data solutions, data models, and data governance & quality solutions.
Lead technical design and implementation by demonstrating strong solution skills and best practices resulting in robust, scalable MDM solutions.
Ensure master data product and technical features are delivered to spec and on time.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
A bachelors degree in the STEM field is preferred. Preference for Chemistry, Physics, and Math. Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management.
Experience in the HVAC/R industry and wholesale distribution is highly desirable. Experience with various ERPs is required, preference for Epicors Eclipse.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
Deep understanding of unit of measure conversions i.e., ability to easily convert product SKUs into truckload equivalents.
Strong skills in Python.
Strong data manipulation and management skills, including joining and harmonizing data via Python, SQL.
Ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide data solutions that align with organizational goals.
