Job Overview

We seek a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our Public Safety team. The successful candidate will enter various reports and calls into our Public Safety software system. This role involves handling sensitive information and requires high accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

For Reports:

- Enter paper reports into the Public Safety software system accurately and efficiently.

- Handle information about cases, arrests, incidents, and other reports.

- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

- Manage the data entry of over 10,000 reports into the system.

For Calls:

- Use a stare-and-compare method to enter calls from the old system or an import tool.

- Enter calls via the CAD dispatch client or offline call entry.

- Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive call information.

- Process and enter over 40,000 calls into the system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- A high school diploma or equivalent and an associates or bachelors degree are preferred.

- Proven experience in data entry or a similar role.

- Proficiency in Public Safety software systems is a plus.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements

- Ability to sit for long periods while performing data entry tasks.

- Good manual dexterity and the ability to type quickly and accurately.
