SQL Integration Developer
Overview
We seek a skilled and innovative SQL Developer to join our data-driven team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing and maintaining solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. As a SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in the continued effort of designing, implementing, and optimizing our company infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful data solutions. Your role is integral to our data-driven team, and will report to the Information Systems Manager.
Responsibilities
Manage the data needs of technology-forward projects. Admin Office365/Azure, ERP (Dynamics GP, SalesPad), integrated software including CRM, Customer Survey Platform, Paycom, etc.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries and data models for optimal performance and responsiveness.
Develop and maintain data pipelines, data integration processes, and data cleansing procedures. Implement data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Participate in data architecture and modeling discussions to ensure the scalability and flexibility of BI solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain BI reports, dashboards, automated alerts, and data visualizations using industry-leading tools and technologies
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions that address data analysis and reporting needs.
Implement automation of various functions related to departmental needs in Microsoft GP, Taulia, SalesPad, and others.
Monitor and troubleshoot data solutions to identify and resolve performance issues or data discrepancies.
Stay current with industry trends and best BI and data analytics practices, bringing innovative ideas to enhance the organization's data capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business users, to understand their requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize BI tools to access and analyze data.
Participate in the planning and executing of data projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with third-party IT support vendors as needed and ensure they are informed when projects affect them or the services they provide or manage.
Assist with data capture, planning, and implementation of new software releases and cross-functional assignments.
Contribute as a member of the Opportunity Analysis Team by researching, following up, resolving issues, and documenting resolution processes that may need to be replicated by others.
Role Specific Requirements
Strong understanding of software systems, including cloud-hosted (Azure), web-based, and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
Proficiency with MS SQL, PowerShell, Python
Experience in data warehouse design and schema structuring.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling processes. Proven work experience designing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and jobs.
Experience developing and maintaining scripts for data migration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.
Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript, and HTML.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation tasks.
Previous experience in cloud-based API integrations (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with RESTful and/or SOAP APIs.
Proficiency in data formats such as JSON and XML.
Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and API keys.
Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 2-5 years of Backend SQL Development experience required.
Experience in PowerBI and SSRS preferred

Prior experience with Microsoft GP, SalesPad, ZenDesk, and StockIQ would set a candidate apart but is not required for this role.
