Prosthodontists are highly trained and skilled dental professionals who carry out a variety of specialized dental procedures on patients of all ages. Prosthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry focused on dental restoration through repair and replacement of natural teeth with removable or fixed prosthetic options. A prosthodontist is a highly trained specialist that plans and performs procedures on patients who have lost or damaged teeth and other oral structures. They then consider which dental prostheses is required by manufacturing customized dental prostheses and making sure they fit properly in the patients' mouths.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Prosthodontist to perform all phases of prosthetic dentistry and related dental implant services to the appropriate standards as set forth by the practice. Ability to build good rapport with patients and staff and promote the success of the center. Be willing to take a leadership role in the center with an emphasis on adhering to the highest standards of quality patient care and predictability of outcomes. Possess a patient-centered mindset and approach to treatment planning and day to day center operations. To be successful as a Prosthodontist, you should be compassionate towards patients and able to handle stressful situations. Ultimately, an outstanding Prosthodontist should have excellent hand-eye coordination as well as demonstrate exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Providing patients with supportive care during treatment, including providing medication or making adjustments to the patients diet or exercise routine as needed.

Making models of the patients teeth and mouth to create impressions for dentures or other dental work.

Examining patients to determine the cause of tooth decay or other dental problems.

Conducting consultations with patients regarding the treatment plan and discussing post-treatment care needs.

Creating custom dental prostheses, mouthguards and other dental products as appropriate to patient needs.

Designing and fabricating dental prostheses, such as crowns and bridges, as well as fitting them to patients.

Performing surgical procedures, such as extractions, implant placement, and bone grafting as needed.

Evaluating existing dental work to determine if they need repair or replacement.

Coordinating with other doctors to ensure that all aspects of treatment are consistent with each other.

Requirements:

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).

Certificate in Prosthodontics from an American Dental Association accredited program.

Appropriate state licensure.

The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills.

Patient and empathetic.
