Back End Python Developer (Contractor)

We are seeking a Back-End Python Developer to join our internal team in Cape Town on a contract basis. This role is perfect for a skilled developer with a passion for creating robust and scalable solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll work closely with our dynamic and results-driven Decision Inc. team to deliver impactful projects.

A solid understanding of Python and related back-end technologies is required, and experience in designing and implementing scalable systems is highly advantageous. You will gain exposure to a variety of industries, so the ability to quickly adapt and understand new business environments is key.

What Will You Do?

Key Responsibility:

Back-End Developer will be allocated full-time (100%) to the project for its entire duration and will be responsible for:

• API Development and Management:
  Design and manage APIs to support Front-End applications and third-party integrations
• Server Logic Development:
  Develop and maintain server-side logic.
• Front-End Integration:
  Work alongside Front-End Developers to aid smooth integration and design.
• Security Implementation:
  Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms to secure applications.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment:
  Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
• Scalability and Performance Optimisation:
  Ensure the back-end infrastructure can scale and perform efficiently under load.
• LLM Production Assistance:
  Provide support to ensure the AI engine is ready for deployment, requiring an understanding of LLM and Data Science code (Strong Python skills required).
• Testing and Integration:
  Conduct testing and integration to ensure system compatibility and functionality.
