Drive Large-Scale Transformation at Enterprise Level

We are seeking a high-calibre Programme Manager to lead and deliver complex, multi-stream programmes within a leading financial services environment. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in managing portfolios, aligning delivery to business strategy, and driving transformation at scale.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of programmes, delivering business value, and embedding strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and performance excellence across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme & Portfolio Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale programmes aligned to business strategy
  • Plan, prioritise, and manage programme portfolios to optimise value delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Drive adherence to project governance, frameworks, and best practices
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Manage expectations across business and technology teams
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, scoped, and signed off
  • Provide proactive communication and reporting across the portfolio
  • Financial & Resource Management
  • Manage programme budgets and financial performance
  • Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and utilisation
  • Identify inefficiencies and optimise resource allocation
  • Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and mentor Programme/Project Managers and delivery teams
  • Build a high-performance, collaborative culture
  • Drive talent development, coaching, and succession planning
  • Foster a culture aligned to organisational values and transformation goals
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and risk frameworks
  • Oversee reporting to risk, audit, and executive committees
  • Implement and monitor compliance risk management programmes
  • Strategic Contribution
  • Contribute to programme and business unit strategy planning
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, operating models, and delivery frameworks
  • Support organisational transformation and culture-building initiatives

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in project/programme environments (large-scale programmes)
  • 2–3 years' experience managing managers / leading delivery teams
  • Proven track record in enterprise programme delivery within banking or financial services

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)
  • PMP / PRINCE2 Certification
  • Programme Management certification (PgMP)
