Business Analyst Specialist (Juristic) – Contracting role

We are looking for a Specialist Business Analyst to join a high-impact Juristic function, where your expertise will shape how legal, compliance, and business capabilities are delivered across the organisation.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will work at the intersection of business strategy, legal/juristic processes, and technology, enabling the organisation to operate efficiently, sustainably, and adaptively in a highly regulated environment.

You will be responsible for building a holistic view of the organisation, aligning business objectives with technology solutions, and ensuring that business needs are translated into scalable, future-fit capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with senior stakeholders across business, legal, and IT to understand strategic objectives and operational challenges
• Develop and maintain end-to-end business architecture views (process, information, capability, and systems)
• Translate business and juristic requirements into clear, structured, and actionable artefacts
• Analyse and document current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) states, identifying gaps and optimisation opportunities
• Drive alignment between business strategy, legal frameworks, and IT delivery
• Facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and influence decision-making at executive level
• Ensure solutions are efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture principles
• Operate across high levels of ambiguity, complexity, and abstraction, while also diving into detailed analysis when required
• Support Agile and/or hybrid delivery models, ensuring continuous value delivery

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Senior / Specialist Business Analyst (8+ years preferred)
• Strong exposure to juristic / legal / compliance environments (highly advantageous)
• Deep understanding of business analysis frameworks (BABOK) and enterprise analysis
• Experience in business architecture, capability modelling, and process engineering
• Ability to work across strategic, tactical, and operational levels
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-scale environments (preferably financial services)
• Solid understanding of IT systems, data flows, and integration landscapes
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
