Ab Initio Metadata Hub Developer (DS3406ND)

Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract

We are seeking a talented and experienced Ab Initio Metadata Hub Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing data products and advancing technical thought leadership within the enterprise. This role involves delivering fit-for-purpose metadata data products for consumption by the enterprise, leveraging advanced Ab Initio tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ab Initio graphs for data processing and metadata extraction.
• Create and manage Metadata Hub extractors to capture metadata from various sources.
• Oversee the import of metadata into the Metadata Hub, ensuring accurate lineage and application assignment.
• Generate and manage reports within the Metadata Hub to support business and technical needs.
• Configure the Metadata Hub to meet enterprise requirements and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality metadata solutions.
• Provide technical thought leadership and contribute to the continuous improvement of metadata management practices within the enterprise.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ab Initio Graph Developer: Proficiency in developing complex data processing graphs using Ab Initio.
• Metadata Hub Extractors: Experience in designing and implementing metadata extractors.
• Metadata Hub Imports: Expertise in importing metadata, including managing lineage and application assignments.
• Reports in Metadata Hub: Ability to create detailed and accurate reports within the Metadata Hub.
• Metadata Hub Configurations: Strong skills in configuring and optimizing the Metadata Hub environment.
• Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in all the above areas is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Ab Initio and metadata management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
