ETL/ SQL Server Developer

Duration: 6 months minimum contract

Location: Cape Town

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL/ SQL Server Developer to join our client in Cape Town for a 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex queries and extensive experience in data management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Create and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load data from various sources
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with ETL processes and data quality
• Optimize ETL processes for improved performance and scalability
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server ETL development
• Strong understanding of complex SQL queries and data manipulation techniques
• Experience with SSIS and other ETL tools
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in financial or investment industry is a plus
