BI Developer - 6 Month Renewable Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requests and requirements.
• Design high-quality solutions for data sources, reports, and dashboards.
• Document functional and technical solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Drive user acceptance testing.
• Provide timely status updates using Agile methodology.
• Maintain professional working relationships.
• Build trust by delivering on commitments and conducting satisfaction surveys.
• Manage operational schedules and tasks as per SLAs.
• Handle ad hoc extract and report requests.
• Perform maintenance on software modules.
• Document processes and tasks following governance standards.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Share lessons learned during process optimization.
• Promote reuse of software components.
• Identify areas for development and training.
• Implement sustainable solutions and optimize code.

Role requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years in data warehouse methodology and data analysis
• Experience with ETL, SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and scripting
• Proven track record in delivering complex solutions

Required Technical Knowledge:

• Must have abinitio experience
• Microsoft SQL, PL/SQL
• ETL tools (e.g., Ab Initio, SSIS)
• Process scheduling and server scripting (e.g., Control-M, Linux/AIX)
• Business writing and communication skills
