We're on the hunt for a VMWare ESXi Host Engineer Specialist to join our high-performing infrastructure team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge enterprise virtualisation projects within a dynamic banking environment where innovation meets scale.

🌟 What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and deliver both high-level and low-level architecture for PRD and DR hardware refresh initiatives.
• Deploy and manage enterprise-scale VMware vSphere environments (ESXi 7 & 8).
• Lead HPE Synergy infrastructure deployments and lifecycle management.
• Perform critical vCenter and ESXi upgrades in line with global best practices.
• Manage firmware and storage enhancements, including HDD optimisations.
• Seamlessly integrate VMware with AWS cloud platforms.
• Implement and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutions for resilient data protection.
• Maintain robust documentation across VMware, Hyper-V, and storage infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level support on DELL and HP enterprise hardware.
• Play a key role in disaster recovery (DR) planning, implementation, and failover testing.
• Resolve escalated infrastructure issues and ensure platform stability.
• Proactively identify risks and recommend infrastructure improvement strategies.
• Drive standards for compliance, monitoring, security, and documentation in all VMware-related projects.

🧠 What You Bring to the Table:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure with a strong focus on virtualisation, storage, and server technologies.
• Degree or Diploma in IT or a related field.
• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) are strongly preferred.
• Additional certifications in Veeam, AWS, or Azure will give you an edge.
• Deep expertise in VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Dell and HP hardware platforms.
• Proven knowledge in cloud integrations, particularly VMware to AWS.
• Strong command of disaster recovery technologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with converged infrastructureespecially HPE Synergy.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
