Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) - 12-month contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to join a leading banking institution on a 12-month contract. This role is responsible for embedding exceptional user experience into digital products and services, designing intuitive, engaging interfaces that align with brand standards and enhance overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality UX/UI artifacts including wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, storyboards, and interface layouts
• Develop and maintain design systems, visual assets, and UI specifications
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions
• Translate business requirements and user needs into innovative, user-centric design solutions
• Create user journeys, interaction models, and navigation flows that optimize usability and engagement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Business) to ensure seamless design implementation
• Advocate for the end-user throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure alignment with design standards, brand guidelines, and technical architecture
• Drive continuous improvement by researching industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
• Present and communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders to gain buy-in
• Incorporate user feedback and testing insights to refine and enhance designs
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and delivery expectations

Minimum Requirements

• 10–12 years' experience in Product Design / UX/UI Design
• Proven experience designing digital products in financial services or complex enterprise environments
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking and execution
• Experience working within design systems and client-centred design processes

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Product & UX/UI Design principles
• Web and mobile design best practices
• Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar)
• Strong understanding of interaction design, usability, and accessibility
• Experience with data-driven design and user research methodologies
• Knowledge of DevOps environments and collaboration within agile delivery teams

Qualifications & Certifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Design Certification from an accredited design institution (advantageous)
