Quoting Manager to lead and enhance our quoting process for custom cable harnesses. The successful candidate will oversee the quoting team, streamline processes, and ensure timely and accurate responses to client inquiries. This role is crucial for reducing quote cycle times and improving overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the Quoting team, addressing physical needs to ensure a productive and safe work environment.

Address employee issues or grievances promptly and effectively.

QuoteManagement: Identify and review Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and other customer requirements to ensure alignment with company capabilities and client expectations.

Manage the entire quoting process from initiation to completion, including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing quotes.

Process Improvement: Establish and track metrics for timeline targets related to information gathering, writing, review, and approval of quotes.

Evaluate and revise quoting processes to enhance efficiency and compliance with ISO9001 standards.

Content Development: Write, revise, and edit quotes and supporting documents, including executive summaries, detailed cost breakdowns, and organizational overviews.

Produce content related to quotes, including documents, tables of content, and visual presentations as needed.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and other relevant teams to ensure quotes are accurate and feasible and reflect the best available information at the time.

Ensure that proposed projects can be delivered on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.

Performance Management: Drive the team to meet or exceed quote timeline goals: 2 days for simple quotes, 5 days for complex quotes, and 10 days for more intricate projects.

Maintain and oversee the integrity of proposal databases and tracking tools

General Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned that align with the core responsibilities of the role and contribute to overall team objectives.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in quoting, estimating, or program management, preferably within a manufacturing or technical industry.
Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in cost estimation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
