The role of the Web Developer involves in creating, maintaining, and updating high quality website for the client
Job Responsibilities:
- Understands the clients organizational goals and objectives
- Use of skills in technical aspect of internet, network technologies, and programming languages such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL,
- Ensures HTML/CSS is standard and compliant and meets accessibility/ disability requirements
- Discuss scope of requested features/updates from requester and provide suggestion
- Deploy codes on production server and ensure it was approved and tested on test server
- Setup web and database server
- Security implementation for all websites
- Test server and website security
- Be in charge of Database design, tuning and optimization
- Manage the interchange of data between the server and the users
- Development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
- Responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions
- Resolves and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Provide (weekly or end of month) report to client on task accomplished and provide feedbacks to what is needs improvement etc.
Job Requirements and Qualification:
- BS in Computer Science, Information technology or similar to work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web design or development services
- Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language (PHP, Python) etc. [Laravel, CodeIgniter]
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Proficient in CMS (Drupal 7+, Wordpress, Joomla)
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
- Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
