As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites for our clients. You will work closely with our project managers and design team to create user-friendly and visually appealing websites that meet our clients' needs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Build and maintain websites using a range of technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Ruby). Ensure that websites are responsive and compatible across different devices and browsers.
- Front-End Development: Implement web designs and interactive features using front-end technologies. Translate design mockups into functional code and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Back-End Development: Develop and manage server-side logic, databases, and application integrations. Ensure robust and secure backend functionality to support website operations.
- Content Management Systems (CMS): Work with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) to implement, customize, and maintain websites. Configure plugins, themes, and other components to meet project requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance, including load times and responsiveness. Implement best practices for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance problems. Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure website reliability and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with web designers, UX/UI specialists, and other team members to ensure that design specifications are accurately implemented and that project goals are met.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of websites to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility. Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to identify and fix issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for website development processes, code, and configurations. Provide guidance and support for future updates and troubleshooting.
- Trends and Technologies: Stay informed about the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and apply new techniques to projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of web development projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with back-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with SEO principles and website performance optimization is a plus.
- Understanding of web security best practices is desirable.
