We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping and accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

-Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
-Analyse financial statements for discrepancies and other issues
-
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
-Understanding of the accounting cycle and how all elements affect the financial movement of the entity
-Experience with computerized ledger systems preferably Xero and MYOB
-Advanced knowledge of Excel
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Previous experience in an accounting firm would be greatly beneficial
-Ability to pick up processes quickly
-This role should be open to do bookkeeping work if required

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience in training and mentoring junior accounting staff
