Overall purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in email marketing strategies, including automation, segmentation, and personalisation. This role requires proficiency in transferring data between email platforms and a thorough understanding of best practices to maximise engagement and conversion rates.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Your role and responsibilities are and not limited to:
- Develop and Execute Email Campaigns: Create, manage, and optimise email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, lead generation, and sales.
- Email Automation: Design and implement automated email workflows for different customer journeys, ensuring timely and relevant communication.
- Segmentation and Targeting: Build and maintain segmented lists to ensure precise targeting based on customer behaviour, preferences, and demographics.
- Personalisation: Utilise dynamic content and personalisation strategies to enhance the customer experience and improve conversion rates.
- Data Management and Platform Migration: Transfer and manage data between different email marketing platforms, ensuring data integrity and compliance with best practices.
- A/B Testing and Optimisation: Conduct A/B tests to continually optimise subject lines, content, send times, and other key elements of email campaigns.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all email campaigns comply with relevant regulations and adhere to industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align email strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
Knowledge, skills, and experience requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or in a similar role.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in Email Marketing.
- Proficiency in numerous email marketing platforms (e.g., EngageBay, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo).
- Strong knowledge of email automation tools and CRM systems.
- Expertise in segmentation, targeting, and list management.
- Understanding of user experience within email marketing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritise/ multitask, and work with stakeholders
- An ability to work within a fast-paced environment and upskill rapidly where required.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience with HTML/CSS for email design.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies beyond email, including content marketing.
- Certification in email marketing or related fields.
