Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain custom applications, modules, and integrations within the SugarCRM platform 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions 
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code 
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing code to identify and fix issues 
  • Optimize the performance of existing applications and modules 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP development and SugarCRM

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development 
  • 1-2 years SugarCRM experience 
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Experience with SugarCRM development and customization 
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter) 
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (such as Bootstrap or Foundation) 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Technologies:

  • PHP: The core language used for server-side scripting and customization. Most of the backend logic, including module development, custom logic hooks, and integrations, is written in PHP.
  • JavaScript: Used for front-end customizations, creating dynamic user interfaces, and client-side logic. JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and sometimes AngularJS for more complex client-side functionalities.
  • HTML/CSS: These are used for defining the structure and style of the user interface. Customizing views often involves working with HTML and CSS.
  • SQL: Relational database. MySQL or SQL Server.
  • REST/SOAP APIs: For integration with other systems, knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services is essential.
  • Smarty: uses the Smarty templating engine for rendering HTML, which helps in separating the presentation layer from the business logic.
