Strala is rebuilding the foundation of the insurance industry through applied AI — automating claims processing and improving loss ratios for major insurers. In less than a year, Strala has reached multi-seven-figure ARR with 50% month-over-month growth. The company raised a 13x oversubscribed $3.8M seed round led by Founders Fund and Emergence Capital and has secured $54M in total funding.
The team includes engineers from DRW, Optiver, AWS, and Palantir, AI researchers publishing at ICML, ICCV, and NeurIPS, and multiple ICPC and Olympiad winners.
About the Role
Strala is hiring a Strategy & Operations professional to work directly with the CEO and help scale claims operations. The role focuses on building systems, driving strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and helping lead a core business function as the company grows. This position offers a fast path into leadership with significant ownership and responsibility.
What You'll Own
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives alongside the CEO
- Build and formalize claims operations processes
- Design scalable, data-driven workflows
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, and business teams
- Bring structure and clarity to high-priority initiatives
- Help scale operational systems as the company grows
Requirements
- 2+ years in MBB consulting, investment banking, private equity, or strategic operations at a top-tier startup
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Comfort switching rapidly between multiple high-priority projects
- Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco
Target Backgrounds
Strong signals include MBB consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), investment banking at Goldman Sachs, Evercore, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Lazard, Centerview, or PJT, Strategic Operations or Chief of Staff experience at high-growth startups, demonstrated zero-to-one ownership, and strong analytical rigor with execution capability.
Nice to Have
- Startup experience or entrepreneurial background
- Technical or quantitative degree — Engineering, CS, Mathematics, Economics, or Physics
- International background
- Experience formalizing operational processes at a scaling company
