Job Title: SharePoint Developer

Overview:

The SharePoint Developer is responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises SharePoint solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, as well as the ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Development:

Design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions on the on-premises SharePoint platform.

Customize SharePoint sites using web parts, workflows, and custom forms.

Actively develop new applications, new SharePoint Sites, new environments, processes, and guidelines to assist in the architectural growth of SharePoint infrastructure, integration solutions, and data services.

Work with business owners/users to design and develop new SharePoint sites and workflows.

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for SharePoint solutions.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Maintenance and Support:

Provide ongoing maintenance and support for SharePoint environments, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues in a timely manner.

Analyze, develop, test, document, maintain and support SharePoint sites and dependent applications.

Resolve SharePoint-related service requests and incidents.

Migration and Upgrades:

Assist in the migration of SharePoint solutions to newer versions or different environments.

Ensure that upgrades are performed with minimal disruption to business operations.

Security:

Ensure that SharePoint solutions adhere to security best practices and company policies.

Regularly review and update permissions to safeguard sensitive information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in SharePoint development, specifically with SharePoint on-premises environments.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and other SharePoint development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
