Data Center Operations Specialist( Offshore)

Job Purpose

Support of Infrastructure services and ensure maximum availability for Banking Business Services.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Good Knowledge of workload Automation & Scheduler Tools
  • Good knowledge on Windows & Unix operating systems.
  • Good knowledge on Networking concepts and Administration.
  • Good knowledge on backup and storage systems.
  • Good knowledge on ORACLE & SQL platforms.
  • Basic Business application concepts.
  • Good Knowledge of CLOUD concepts.

Experience in troubleshooting, coordination, and reporting.

  • Incident, problem and change management concepts.
  • Experience 6 - 7 years.

Key Result Areas

  • Experienced in datacenter operations and application deployment.
  • Support Job Schedulers & File Transfer tools Administration.
  • Support Enterprise Monitoring and backup Tools.
  • Prompt reporting of production issues with impact analysis and taking necessary action for rectification.

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships

  • Execute operation activities on different systems as defined in SOPs.
  • Execute EOD, BOD and intraday batches as per SOP.
  • Job Schedulers & File Transfer tools Administration.
  • Tracking of DC operations service tickets.
  • Monitoring application batches as per the SOPs given by various internal teams and escalation and recording of the issues.
  • Escalation & recording of systems, application, and batch problems. Liaising with various teams within the bank for operations.
  • Monitoring of alerts from various Enterprise Monitoring systems of the Bank.
  • Liaise with infrastructure owners, application owners, Vendors for various support related activities on 24x 7 rotation shift basis.
  • Deployment of approved changes on various Infra platforms.
  • Escalation, recording and Tracking of all incidents till closure of incidents.

Problem Solving

  • Problem and Incident Management of infra platforms.
  • Change Control Disciplines.
  • Policies and SLA Management.
  • Liaising with various inter department teams & Vendors.
  • Support Audit, Security and Regulatory compliance requirements.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

Maintaining MTTR & UPTIMEs.

  • Liaising with Incident Management teams.
  • Responsible for Product management and escalation of issues on timely manner.
