System Support Analyst

Job Title: System Support Analyst

This role is to manage and provide technical and business support for various production application systems in the Bank, ensure timely deliverables of assigned IT Change Request within the department. It requires a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and often an understanding of the principles of IT systems, depending on the specific focus of the job, and understanding business requirements.

Resource will be responsible for smooth function of various internal applications like CRM, ATM/CCDM, etc. and ensure the availability of applications and customer services in production environment on 24x7 basis.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other departments, such as IT, production, and quality assurance, to support their needs and ensure the production system aligns with organizational goals. Provide training and support to users on how to operate within the system effectively.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate and participate in testing activities to ensure meets business requirements and functions correctly. Manage the resolution of any issues identified during testing.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes. Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions to inform management and help in decision-making processes.

System Monitoring: Continuously monitor production systems for any signs of trouble. This includes tracking performance metrics, identifying deviations from expected behavior, and addressing potential issues before they escalate.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for any system-related issues. Diagnose and resolve problems quickly to minimize downtime. This may involve working closely with other IT professionals, engineers, or production staff.

Maintenance and Upgrades: Schedule and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure systems operate efficiently. This includes applying patches, updates, and upgrades to hardware, software, or other system components.

Security and Compliance: Ensure that production systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and security policies. Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and potential threats.

Capacity Planning: Analyze current system capabilities and future requirements to recommend enhancements or upgrades that will improve performance or accommodate growth.

Incident Management: Develop and implement strategies for incident management to quickly address and mitigate system failures or disruptions.

DR Planning: Maintain appropriate security for business application and data of the bank by ensuring the readiness of Disaster Recovery site and plan of the bank for maximum customer convenience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Depending on the industry, this could range from specific software knowledge, understanding of manufacturing technologies, to expertise in network and system administration.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify problems, think critically, and devise effective solutions under pressure.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, support staff, and communicate with stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues before they become critical.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and changing environments.

Relevant Education and Experience: A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with experience in a similar role, is often required.
