About the job IT Asset Associate

  • Maintain and update records of IT Hardware, software, and related licenses in the asset management system.
  • Assist in conducting regular audits of IT assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Track the location and assignment of IT assets to employees, departments, and locations.
  • Ensure all IT assets are properly tagged, labeled, and recorded in the asset management system upon receipt.
  • Help monitor stock levels of IT assets, ensuring sufficient availability of deployment.
  • Assist in deploying new hardware and software to employees, ensuring proper installation and setup.
  • Manage the return and proper handling of IT assets from terminated or inactive employees or those with retired devices.
  • Assist in the secure and proper disposal of obsolete or damaged IT assets in compliance with company policies and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with respective department for the safe decommissioning or recycling of IT equipment.
  • Update asset records to reflect decommissioned or disposed equipment.
  • Generate reports on IT asset status, usage, and inventory levels to help IT management make informed decisions.
  • Provide data to support financial audits, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Help maintain detailed records of the lifecycle of IT assets, including purchase dates, warranty periods, and depreciation.
  • Ensure IT asset records comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Help enforce asset management policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Maintain asset documentation, including procurement records, warranty details, and vendor contracts.
  • Work with IT Team to support asset deployment and tracking needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Admin, and HR Team to ensure assets are aligned with budget, procurement, processes, and employee needs.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Atleast 1 year and Up experience in IT ( BPO industry is a PLUS )
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) for tracking and reporting.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills (oral and written).
