About the job Privacy & Security Lead
The Privacy & Security Lead will drive data privacy compliance and security to various regional teams. This role will assess the current privacy and security practices, identify risks, develop policies, processes and manage ongoing privacy compliance and security.
This role should have a broad range of professional consulting experience, an expert understanding of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), experience working with legal teams to create privacy policies and contracts, and direct experience or knowledge of the modern days security and privacy technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop, and implement comprehensive privacy by design across the organization and improve the incorporation of privacy and security practices in business processes.
Develop and maintain a suitable governance structure for privacy and security.
Perform data privacy and security assessments.
Assist teams in automating their privacy & security capabilities. Configure, integrate, test, and deploy privacy & security tools and technologies.
Assist in the assessment of suspected privacy and security events and breaches.
Internal audits to monitor internal compliance with privacy and security rules and standards.
Assist external or internal auditors with compliance audits.
Work as a data privacy and security point of contact for the regional teams.
Managed team for day-to-day activities.
- Periodic reporting on data privacy and security.
Qualification:
Bachelors Degree or above in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, or equivalent disciplines.
At least 10 years of experience in Data Privacy, Security and Compliance management.
Leadership experience defining privacy and security best practices around business processes and technology.
Desire to drive transformational change, advising regional teams how to adapt data privacy and compliance. Project management experience in IT/Privacy/Security domain.
Excellent understanding of data privacy laws and their impact on businesses.
Experience working with leadership teams.
Experience working in coordination with internal and external legal teams.
Expert knowledge of reporting procedures, audit controls, and record-keeping.
Highly methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Fluency in English.
- Relevant certifications such as ISO27K, CISSP, CISM, CISA or CIPP is a plus.
