Network Infrastructure Engineer

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's team in Dubai, UAE. As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role requires a strong technical background in networking technologies, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
2. Configure and optimize network components to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve connectivity, bandwidth, or latency issues.
4. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
5. Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth and expansion.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design network solutions that meet business needs.
7. Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, products, and services to enhance network capabilities and efficiency.
8. Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users on network-related issues and solutions.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in networking technologies and security protocols.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role, with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure.
3. Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies (e.g., VLAN, STP).
4. Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.
5. Experience in designing and implementing network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control.
6. Strong understanding of network monitoring and management tools, such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.
7. Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
