Cryptography Specialist
Job Description:
Senior Post-Quantum Cryptography & Cybersecurity Specialist
We are seeking a senior Post-Quantum Cryptography & Cybersecurity Specialist to support a strategic security initiative focused on preparing mission-critical communications and infrastructure for the transition to quantum-resistant cryptographic technologies.
The engagement combines technical assessment, architecture, implementation, validation, and migration planning. The successful candidate will contribute to a controlled pilot deployment designed to demonstrate the practical adoption of quantum-safe cryptography within a highly secure enterprise environment.
Role Overview
The specialist will help assess exposure to future quantum-related cryptographic risks and support the design and implementation of a limited-scale post-quantum security solution.
The role requires strong expertise across cybersecurity, cryptographic architecture, post-quantum cryptography, integration, security validation, and transition planning.
A key objective will be to establish a practical and repeatable approach for migrating existing communications and security services toward quantum-resilient technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Assessing current cryptographic dependencies and identifying quantum-related vulnerabilities
- Performing cryptographic inventory and risk assessments
- Evaluating the impact of emerging quantum threats on existing security mechanisms
- Supporting the design of quantum-safe and crypto-agile architectures
- Selecting and implementing appropriate post-quantum cryptographic approaches
- Supporting pilot deployments within secured network environments
- Integrating new cryptographic capabilities with existing infrastructure and security services
- Performing interoperability, performance, resilience, and migration assessments
- Supporting technical testing and validation
- Contributing to security accreditation and operational acceptance activities
- Identifying implementation risks, technical constraints, and integration dependencies
- Developing migration strategies and phased transition roadmaps
- Producing technical recommendations, lessons learned, and implementation guidance
- Supporting demonstrations, technical workshops, and stakeholder reviews
- Translating pilot results into recommendations for broader enterprise adoption
Post-Quantum Cryptography Expertise
Candidates should have strong knowledge of modern cryptography and the emerging post-quantum ecosystem, including areas such as:
