Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong GCP expertise to join our partner team.

What You Will Do:

• Architect, implement and support data solutions that meet high

  standards of reliability, scalability and performance.

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines to collect, transform and load data from diverse sources into warehouses or other storage systems.
• Optimize data processing, storage, and querying using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow and Cloud Functions.
• Oversee data workflows, monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis when problems arise.
• Partner with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that empower their work.
• Maintain strong data governance by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security across all data environments.
• Assess emerging tools and technologies to enhance our data engineering stack and overall efficiency.
• Produce clear documentation covering engineering workflows, standards, and best practices.

What You Bring:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a

  similar discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable position.
• Solid understanding of core data engineering principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud
• Storage, Dataflow, Dataplex, Pub/Sub, and Composer.
• Strong background in data modeling, schema design, and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Beam, Airflow, Kafka or Spark.

• Proficiency with serverless functions using Python or Node.js.

• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and practices.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field.

• Experience handling large-scale datasets.

• Background in automation/orchestration for data quality.

• Deep understanding of data modeling approaches.

• Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Git.

• Relevant certifications, such as:

  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer

  • Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer.
