Integrations Project Manager
Job Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Integrations Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of integration projects across EDI, API, SaaS-to-SaaS, ERP, logistics, and system-to-system connectivity initiatives.
The role will work closely with the Integrations Product Owner, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure that integration projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
While the Product Owner is responsible for backlog management, prioritisation, and value definition, the Integrations Project Manager will be responsible for project execution, including day-to-day coordination, timeline management, dependency tracking, testing coordination, escalation management, and delivery governance.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience delivering integration projects, is comfortable working with technical teams, and thrives in Agile delivery environments. PRINCE2 certification is beneficial, but practical integration delivery experience and Agile project execution capability are more important.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead and manage integration projects from initiation through to go-live and hypercare.
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and dependency maps.
- Track milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and key delivery decisions.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of risks, blockers, and delivery issues.
- Chair project stand-ups, delivery checkpoints, and cross-team coordination meetings.
- Prepare project status reports and materials for project steering committees / SteerCo meetings.
- Drive delivery governance and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned on scope, timelines, and priorities.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the Integrations Product Owner to understand priorities, project scope, user requirements, and expected business outcomes.
- Coordinate with development teams, architects, QA, business analysts, business SMEs, vendors, and third-party integration partners.
- Ensure all impacted teams are informed, prepared, and working to the same delivery schedule.
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and remove blockers that impact delivery.
- Ensure technical teams have the clarity, inputs, and unblocked pathways required to deliver efficiently.
- Translate project timelines into sprint-aligned deliverables in an Agile environment.
Integration Delivery
- Manage delivery activities across EDI, API, middleware, SaaS-to-SaaS, ERP, logistics, and system-to-system integrations.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and external integration partners, including SPS and other vendors.
- Ensure vendor deliverables are aligned with project timelines, quality expectations, and business requirements.
- Support alignment between development, architecture, QA, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Testing, Cutover & Hypercare
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate testing phases across internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing, and other validation activities.
- Ensure test cases are prepared, reviewed, and executed according to the agreed plan.
- Track defects and drive timely resolution with technical and business teams.
- Ensure readiness for cutover, including checklists, communications, stakeholder briefings, and go-live preparation.
- Coordinate cutover activities with technical teams and third-party providers.
- Monitor post-go-live performance during hypercare and ensure successful stabilisation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering integration projects, including EDI, API, SaaS-to-SaaS, ERP, logistics, or system-to-system integrations.
- Strong project management experience in cross-functional technology delivery environments.
- Hands-on experience working with technical teams, including developers, architects, QA engineers, and business analysts.
- Good understanding of integration concepts such as REST, SOAP, middleware, data mapping, and system connectivity.
- Experience coordinating SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect tracking, and release readiness.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence working with ambiguity.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to translate project timelines and milestones into sprint-aligned delivery plans.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- PRINCE2 certification or similar project management qualification.
- Experience with SaaS platforms such as Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, or SAP.
- Experience in distribution, logistics, retail, or supply chain environments.
- Experience working with external integration partners or vendors.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, integration design principles, and data flows.
