We are seeking a Senior FinOps Consultant (FinOps Certified Professional) to join a fully remote engagement under a B2B contract. In this role, you will support a well-established client in scaling and operating an advanced FinOps practice, with a strong focus on cloud cost visibility, optimization, governance and business value realization across Azure and/or AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute FinOps operations across cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
• Conduct in-depth cloud cost analysis, optimization initiatives, and financial forecasting
• Enhance and maintain FinOps frameworks, governance models, and operational processes
• Drive cost transparency initiatives, including showback and chargeback mechanisms
• Define, monitor, and report FinOps KPIs for business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with engineering, cloud, and finance teams to embed FinOps best practices
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of a mature FinOps function (non-greenfield environment)
• Deliver hands-on FinOps expertise, actively supporting implementation—not just advisory
• Support development of tooling, dashboards, and automation to improve cost management efficiency

Required Skills & Experience:

• Senior-level expertise in FinOps, with a clear specialization (not general cloud architecture)
• Proven track record delivering FinOps solutions in complex enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS FinOps (both considered an advantage)
• Deep understanding of:
  • Cloud pricing and billing models
  • Cost optimization strategies and levers
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and anomaly detection
• Experience working within mature FinOps organizations and frameworks

Certifications:

• FinOps Certified Professional – highly preferred
• FinOps Practitioner – acceptable when supported by strong practical experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience in large-scale, multi-cloud enterprise environments
• Familiarity with FinOps tooling, reporting platforms, and automation practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
