About the job Project Leader
General Description:
The Project Leader is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Leader also assists with the plan and designating project resources, monitors progress, and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage projects
2. Client engagement and relationship management
3. Due diligence and site investigation
4. Site and infrastructure design including street plans (plan & profile, cross-sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, stormwater management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, and storm sewer systems
5. Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
6. Preparation of specifications
7. Preparation of permit applications
8. Construction administration
9. Assist in the development of plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools
3. Ability to work well independently and on a team
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
2. Ten or more years of civil engineering experience is preferred
3.Project management experience is required
License or Certification Requirements:
1. Professional Engineer License (PE) for the State of Wisconsin is required
Physical Requirements:
1.This position requires sitting at a desk and working at a computer for a long period of time
2. Some work may include fieldwork
3. This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
PPE Requirements:
1. Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary
