We are looking to add a Landscape Designer to our multi-discipline team to work on landscape architecture and site design projects. The successful individual will be designing education, commercial, and military projects involving multiple engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical). If you have a desire to integrate Indigenous culture into the built environment, then we want to talk to you!
The ideal candidate for this position will have a background working with the local architecture/engineering community, the ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous projects, and excellent time management skills. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as we consider these qualities to be vitally important in maintaining high-functioning teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Landscape Architecture License desired but not required.
- 0-3 years of experience with landscape architecture and site design projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Revit.
- Proficiency with producing construction documents for planting plans, court yards, building entrances, roadways, parks, playgrounds, rain gardens, and drainage features.
- Familiarity with MOA Title 21 land use code and northern building design and construction in remote Alaska desirable.
- Experience or ambition to work on commercial, military, roads, schools, and park projects.
