Are you a security engineer who thrives in complex environments, designing and implementing solutions that protect against real-world threats? As a Forward Deployed Security Engineer (FDSE), you will work directly with mission-driven teams, ensuring the security of critical systems from design through deployment and ongoing operations.

This is a hands-on role where you will embed with teams, assess risks, deploy security controls, and build resilient defenses.

The Role

• Work on-site with key public sector partners, ensuring security best practices are implemented across infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• Deploy and maintain security controls for authentication, encryption, access management, and network segmentation.
• Monitor and assess threats in real time, conducting security reviews, audits, and validation exercises.
• Develop and implement secure architectures using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, security operations, and compliance teams to build and maintain secure systems.
• Continuously evaluate security risks and improve resilience through proactive defense measures.

Who You Are:

• An experienced security engineer with a strong background in infrastructure, application, and network security.
• An active U.S. security clearance holder.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, security operations, or systems engineering.
• Proficient in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Golang, or similar languages.
• Experienced in threat monitoring, detection, and response in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• A problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, high-stakes environments and can work effectively across teams.
