Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Consulting Professional - Value-Based and Managed Care Regulatory and Policy:
#1. College and professional degree required. MPH, MPP, MA, MS, MBA or JD are all pluses.
#2. 5-10 years of experience in value-based care strategy and managed care policy to serve our health care provider and health plan sector clients.
Responsibilities of the Consulting Professional - Value-Based and Managed Care Regulatory and Policy:
Ideal candidates will have experience in the CMS regulatory processes and writing regulations or comments to proposed regulations or policy proposals, value-based care model conception and development, and appreciation for various perspectives, particularly those of an integrated health system, managed care vendors, and vertically aligned health care organizations. They will have demonstrated the ability to help produce tangible results in value-based care or managed care regulatory matters in roles with industry, non-profit organizations or trade associations, Congress, and/or the CMS. They will have also had experience reviewing fee-for-service Medicare regulations. Prior HHS, CMS, OMB or similar agency experience strongly desired.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage or co-manage multiple projects, prepare analysis and presentation materials, and contribute actively to client strategy meetings with relevant government affairs, legal, financial, and/or operations client teams.
Requirements of the Consulting Professional - Value-Based and Managed Care Regulatory and Policy:
- College and professional degree required. MPH, MPP, MA, MS, MBA or JD are all pluses.
- 5-10 years of experience in value-based care strategy and managed care policy to serve our health care provider and health plan sector clients.
- Superior written and oral communications abilities, including the ability to deliver information to both internal and external recipients and to persuade recipients to accept a point of view;
- A strong understanding of CMS and notice-and-comment rulemaking regulatory processes and demonstration authorities, including an understanding of the Medicare Shared Savings Program and keystone demonstrations developed by the CMS Innovation Center;
- Ability to think critically including the ability to anticipate and address potential challenges or impediments;
- Ability to understand and synthesize complex regulatory and policy issues;
- Ability to manage multiple client priorities concurrently;
- Demonstrated willingness to work hard, do what it takes, and drive toward results; and
- A track record of working effectively in teams while being able to operate independently to execute deliverables.
Other Key Requirements for the Consulting Professional - Value-Based and Managed Care Regulatory and Policy:
- Requests to reside in another client U.S. office or to be remote are subject to negotiation. All candidates must be able to travel to client office in Washington D.C. area and client locations as needs arise.
