#1. Two or more years of experience drafting mechanical applications related to one or more of engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspensions, control systems, consumer products, and medical devices with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable technical experience.

#2. Current status as a registered patent agent is a requirement.

The client is actively recruiting an Intellectual Property Patent Agent to join our thriving Intellectual Property practice. This position offers the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution in our Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Wilmington offices.

Requirements of the Intellectual Property Patent Agent Mechanical Engineering:

• Successful candidates should have two or more years of experience drafting mechanical applications related to one or more of engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspensions, control systems, consumer products, and medical devices with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable technical experience.
• Current status as a registered patent agent is a requirement.
• Candidates must be collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.
• Preferred candidates will have two plus years of experience in patent drafting, excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills and professional recommendations.
